Givaudan, the global leader in fragrances and flavours, today announced it has completed the acquisition of the Nutrition Division of Centroflora Group (Centroflora Nutra), a world player in natural extracts.
Centroflora Nutra manufactures botanical extracts and dehydrated fruits for the food & beverage industry. Located in Botucatu, Brazil, Centroflora Nutra employs 116 people. Givaudan announced its intention to acquire Centroflora Nutra in September 2017. Louie D´Amico, President of Givaudan’s Flavour Division said: “This acquisition is aligned with our ambition to support food and beverage companies in developing great tasting products that align with consumer demands for clean label, organic and natural ingredients.“ While terms of the deal have not been disclosed, Centroflora Nutra´s business would have represented approximately CHF 17 million of incremental sales to Givaudan’s results in 2017 on a proforma basis.
