The European Cocoa Association (ECA) has appointed Harold Poelma, President of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, as its chairman for the next two years. Paul Davis, Head of Cocoa at Sucden, has also been appointed as the ECA Vice Chair, and Christian Vollers, Managing Director at Vollers Group, as the ECA Treasurer. The three new appointments will form the new ECA Executive Committee.

Commenting on his new position, Harold Poelma stated that the Covid-19 pandemic had tested the resilience of the global community as well as the cocoa and chocolate community. For ECA-members and its partners it is essential to continue to work together to find solutions that will help the industry to overcome the challenges associated with the crisis.
