ProSweets Cologne 2021 at the previous year level

The corona pandemic is keeping the world on tenterhooks and is also facing the supplier industry for sweets and snacks with new challenges. At the same time, undreamt-of forces are being unleashed, which are pushing the worldwide change processes such as the digitalisation or product development forward, this in turn is also influencing the behaviour patterns of people.

ProSweets Cologne (31 January to 3 February 2021, Cologne) can make an important contribution in these times above all as a catalyst. As the central supplier trade fair for sweets and snacks that is staged parallel to trade fair ISM, it not only enables the recently absent personal encounters among business partners. As a worldwide trusted trading place and unique platform especially for the sweets and snacks section, it additionally offers the possibility of the concentrated presentation of innovative products in one location to further promote the economic growth.

There is a huge desire among the industry for a piece of normality in everyday business life. This is also reflected by the number of applications in the early bird phase of the trade fair, which expired at the end of May. The team of the ProSweets Director, Julia Kölsch, has thus registered a significant demand and numerous bookings already seven months before the trade fair starts. More than 100 exhibitors from all of the regularly represented countries have registered in spite of the difficult times brought about by the corona pandemic – in some cases with expanded stand areas. New exhibitors have already registered as well.

As such, the entire product spectrum of processing and packing solutions, robotics as well as ingredients are represented. At the coming event, a stronger focus will be placed on the topic “Ingredients” and an own section entitled “ProSweets Ingredients – inspiring products” will be exclusively dedicated to this theme in Hall 5.2, next to the Trend & Natural Snacks of ISM.

Concepts for digital offers are already being planned for the trade fairs that will be staged in Cologne again from the autumn onwards. Similar digital services are also to be made available for ProSweets Cologne 2021. In addition to the physical trade fair participation, these services enable among others the digital establishment of contacts or networking as well as the exchange of information online and create added value for both the exhibitors and trade visitors. Via the social media channels of the trade fair, further information can additionally be communicated to the trade visitors via Facebook and LinkedIn.
