ISM and ProSweets Cologne 2022: Trade fair duo well-aligned for the re-start

In two weeks’ time, the trade fair duo ISM and ProSweets Cologne will take off again at the Cologne fair grounds after a two-year break due to the pandemic. As the leading international events for the sweets and snacks industry, both trade fairs are must-attending dates for all relevant market participants, since the entire value chain – from the current trends and product innovations through to packaging solutions, production technologies and the latest ingredients and raw materials – can only be experienced here.
The trusted #B-Safe4Business hygiene concept and the 3G concept CH3CK which optimally regulate admission for all of the trade fair participants with regards to Covid and thus ensure that they are completely safe. The new Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW), which is valid from 13 January to 9 February 2022, additionally includes several essential new aspects for the trade fair business and continues to allow the conduction of trade fairs such as ISM and ProSweets Cologne. Both trade fairs are being staged from 30 January to 2 February 2022 and are exclusively open to the international trade audience.

The current Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of NRW offers good framework conditions which, following the 3G principle, allows admission to both trade fairs to vaccinated, tested or recovered persons on presentation of legal identification (showing a photo, the name and date of birth). As a further element of the concept, ISM and ProSweets Cologne are offering the exhibiting companies, visitors, service providers and the media exclusively digital tickets.

Admission to the fairgrounds occurs following the CH3CK principle, the trusted admission system that unites the 3G proof with the digital ticket in a practical way per app, thus enabling a smooth entry process to the grounds. It is compulsory to wear a face mask on the entire fair grounds, while engaging in consultations at the exhibition booth, in the queues at the grounds and in the outdoor areas. The face mask can be taken off when sampling products and when seated in the food service areas.

Further measures include the placement of disinfection dispensers at all essential points of the grounds, the regular cleaning and disinfection of washrooms and other contact surfaces as well as the implementation of modern ventilation systems. The trade fair’s food service areas will continue to be open to all trade fair participants under 3G conditions. This also applies for overnight stays of a non-tourist nature that are possible under 3G conditions. Non-vaccinated persons require a valid test. The 2G+ rules apply for visiting restaurants in the city, whereby people who have already had a booster vaccination do not require an additional test. In principal, exhibiting companies and trade visitors of trade fairs from abroad can enter Germany.
