ZDS: 66 years and not a bit tired

Also in the 67th year of its existence, the Academy of Sweets (ZDS), based in Solingen, Germany, has lost none of its attraction to the confectionery branch. Also – or especially – with its annual program for 2017, the ZDS demonstrates that current and innovative subjects are always considered in its further education programme.

The “Congress for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Food Printing for the Confectionery and Snack Industry” which had been planned originally within the framework programme of ISM/ProSweets Cologne, was postponed to 19/20 September in Solingen due to organizational reasons. The programme, however, has once again benefitted from that. In fact, the ZDS has succeeded in engaging high-caliber representatives from the 3D-Print area as speakers and for 3D-Demonstrations.
With the “Forum Frozen Bakery Products” on 20/21 June, the Powder Tec on 27/28 June (in Paderborn) and the “Forum Roasting Technology” on 4/5 September the ZDS has scheduled three additional new congresses that, for sure, will arouse great interest. These events will be completed in 2017 by the already established “Cake Tec” (15/16 February), the “Fat Symposium” (16/17 May), the “Sweet Tec” (24/25 October) and, towards the end of the year, the “Inter-Praline” (5/6 December). In addition, it will be for the very first time that the ZDS
is going to present the “Inter-Ice” (12/13 July) in summer according to the motto “Summer time – Time for Ice Cream” and thus uses that time of the year to further increase the attraction of this event.
