Gerald Schubert passes the torch to Marcel Kiessling

Marcel Kiessling will become the company’s new CEO in the summer of 2017. With this move Gerald Schubert, who has previously run the operative business of Gerhard Schubert GmbH together with his brother Ralf Schubert and Commercial Director Peter Gabriel, will transfer his duties as Managing Director of Sales, Service and Marketing. In the summer of 2017 Schubert will withdraw from the company’s active business. He has begun introducing Marcel Kiessling to his new duties in these departments from November 1st, 2016. For almost 30 years Gerald Schubert has played a crucial role in the successful further development of Gerald Schubert GmbH, the market leader for digital TLM packaging machinery headquartered in Crailsheim, Germany. It is his own personal decision to leave, and he will remain with the company in an advisory capacity. As a partner he will continue to participate in strategic decision-making at Gerhard Schubert GmbH. In the future Ralf Schubert will also be responsible for the Development/Technology and Assembly Department, while Peter Gabriel is to assume the duties for the Commercial Department. Gerhard Schubert will also remain active in the company as Managing Partner. Kiessling has held a variety of positions for more than 25 years at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. As a member of the Board of Directors from 2010 to 2014 he directed the company’s Service Department and managed its global sales and service organisation with a total of 4,200 employees. A certified economist, Kiessling has most recently worked as a management consultant.
