In times when many trade fairs are being postponed or cancelled altogether, creativity is more important than ever. Sappi, market leader in sustainable packaging papers and speciality papers as well as graphic papers, does not want to sit waiting for the next physical event, but instead will soon launch a brand-new video format. From 4 November 2020, Sappi Packaging and Speciality Papers will broadcast its “Blue Couch” format, consisting of three episodes and featuring insights into the pioneering innovations with which the company is looking to build upon its leading position in the paper manufacturing market.
The format will be in the style of a panel discussion. A moderator and a panel of experts chosen by Sappi Packaging and Speciality Papers will present new packaging solutions and discuss key social issues such as sustainability and the effects of Covid-19. The videos will be streamed at www.sappi-bluecouch.com.
The first episode 10 a.m. (CET) on 4 November 2020 will revolve around the topic of paper and sustainability. Berry Wiersum, CEO of Sappi Europe, and Sustainability Manager Sarah Price will share insights on some of the most pressing social and environmental topics currently facing society and discuss how Sappi and fibre-based materials are positioned to respond.
The second episode that will go out on 2 December 2020, will focus on innovation and its value in relation to sales – especially when it comes to continually strengthening customer relationships and benefits for customers. The Blue Couch guests from Sappi Europe will be: Thomas Kratochwill, Vice President Sales & Marketing Packaging and Speciality Papers, and Bernardo Semadeni, Director of Innovation.
The third episode on 3 February 2021 with Sales Director Consumer Goods and Self Adhesives Sappi Europe Michael Bethge and René Koehler, Head of Business Development Packaging Solutions Sappi Europe, will focus on the paper (r)evolution taking place in the packaging industry.
