Fachpack in Nuremberg will be the first opportunity to discover the next generation of multi-purpose Eco pallets, the new Euro E.7.2 pallet, and the CHEP ZirConic® large load carrier. CHEP has partnered with Cabka to develop the new CHEP ZirConic®. This foldable large container made of 97% post-consumer plastic represents a new generation of RTPs that excel in operational performance and environmental sustainability.
It has won the Red Dot Product Design Award 2024 in the Industrial Packaging category. The CHEP ZirConic® boasts several key features. Its modular design extends the product's life by facilitating easy repair and component replacement, which ensures minimal downtime and maximizes usability. The container optimizes the supply chain by offering up to 15% increased internal volume and a 33% increase in load capacity, raising it from 500 kg to 750 kg. This enhancement enables more efficient use of warehouse space and transportation resources.
Additionally, the container’s enhanced foldability allows for compact storage and optimized truck capacity, which helps reduce transportation costs and CO2 emissions. Moreover, each container is uniquely serialized for precise tracking and includes a designated space for digital device integration, providing valuable supply chain insights and enhanced visibility that support informed decision-making.
