tna brings production line to virtual life

The Australian company tna will be using a combination of virtual and augmented reality at interpack to showcase its complete range of packaging and processing solutions.

Visitors will be transported into a “real world” space, where they will get the chance to experience the company’s leading equipment designs in a multi-sensual environment. This will include gentle distribution, precise weighing and high-speed packaging solutions.
Using the latest cutting-edge technology, visitors will go on a virtual ride that will give them the unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves into the production process of a complete potato chip line – from start to finish. At the same time, augmented reality will make it possible to bring individual systems to life and allow visitors to interact with them to find out more about their specific capabilities and features, creating a truly impactful virtual experience. “That way customers can develop a real understanding of our complete turnkey capabilities in an environment that is familiar to them and they can relate to,”comments Alf Taylor, CEO and co-founder of tna.
tna celebrates 35 years of developing some of the most innovative food equipment solutions on the market. Founded in Sydney in 1982, the company launched tna robag, the world‘s first ever high-speed vertical form fill system for the snack industry in 1985. Today, over 14,000 systems are installed across more than 120 countries. They include packaging systems with integrated metal detectors, scales, date coders, inserters, labellers and film splicing technology.
The company with 30 offices around the world is a leading global supplier of integrated food processing and packaging solutions. Its comprehensive range of products includes materials handling, processing, cooling and freezing, coating, distribution, weighing, packaging, inserting and labelling, metal detection and verification solutions.
