Meurer presents efficient case packing

Meurer Verpackungssysteme GmbH stands for developing and manufacturing high quality systems for the end-of-line packaging market. At interpack 2017, the company is presenting innovative packaging solutions in the case and film segment and in combined procedures that ensure more efficient use of resources under the motto “Experience the Future of Scalability”.

The highlight of Meurer’s booth will be a 5-in-1 system for case and foil packaging on which the manufacturing of particularly efficient shelf ready packaging concepts will be shown live. The basic system on display is equipped with a CM/HTW high performance tray and wrap-around case packer combined with a film bander CM/FL 600 Filmline.
The CM/HTW high-performance tray and wrap-around case packer packs the most varied products in either low and product-high trays as well as wrap-around cases. The blanks are formed around the product in a continuous process and then hot-glued. The one-piece wrap-around tray blank means material is used particularly sparingly. The packaging created by the high-performance system ensures best product protection by making a complete carton shell and features excellent stability and stackability. They will win customers over at the Point of Sale with outstanding shelf ready characteristics. Due to the optimized arrangement of perforations and optimal thickness of the carton the packaging can be both opened easily and the tray separated from the case shell in a short time.
Clear labelling on the case explains how to use it. Dimensions tailored precisely to retail shelves make shelf stacking easy and the products can be put away quickly. The CM/HTW tray and wrap-around packer with an output of up to 60 trays a minute is controlled via a user-friendly touch panel. The machine combination features rapid format conversion – from the conventional to the fully automatic solution. The well-thought out hygienic design feature makes cleaning and maintenance easier. The case packer can be integrated into existing lines without any problems.
