Südpack: online shop for digital printing
The initial visual impression is often decisive for a sale. That’s why Südpack offers its customers a wide spectrum of options – primarily in foil printing. An ultra-modern digital printing procedure completes the previous portfolio consisting of gravure printing and flexographic printing.
The three methods complement one another with various benefits and applications. For example, gravure printing can handle high-quantity print jobs, double sided, with up to 12 colours with extreme precision and can include inline lamination. Fast, high quality flexographic printing allows results with up to eleven colours. Both full and partial matte-gloss effects are possible with gravure and flexographic printing.
In contrast, digital print is ideal for smaller foil quantities - such as for trade fairs, sales items or product launches. Foil packaging can feature individual text and images and can even be personalised - with the best print quality and short turnaround times. This service is enhanced with their own online shop for digital print, which is being introduced to a wide audience for the first time at Interpack. This makes it even easier for food producers and makers of technical products to select and print small runs that are suitable for a product.
A configurator recommends the appropriate foils to customers for their products. In the next step, print data is uploaded and the entire foil solution is subsequently compiled. Customers can still count on the advice of Südpack experts: before the foil goes to print, they once again undergo proofing and review by Südpack.
“We are the first foil producer in Europe that allows its customers to order individually-printed foils quickly and easily online,” emphasises Johannes Remmele, managing partner at Südpack. “Customers can configure and order foils from their PC, tablet or smartphone. We even offer flexible express deliveries for emergencies.”
